Stephanie "Butzer" Rose

Stephanie currently works with the team at Denver7 (KMGH) as a digital executive producer, where she loves to pursue environmental and outdoors-based stories. These ideas always stem from curiosity (ex. “Is that glacier’s health OK?” or “How do wildlife crossings actual work?” or “What’s up with all of Colorado’s abandoned mines?”) and she enjoys diving into these unique topics and growing them into a multimedia web story and TV package.


Stephanie graduated from Elon University in May 2014 with a degree in multimedia journalism, photojournalism and creative writing and after four years working at a small newspaper in North Carolina, Stephanie and her husband moved to Denver in June 2018, when she started with Denver7.


When Stephanie isn’t writing or reporting, you can find her training for her next mountain race, reading adventure books, photographing wildlife (or her dog), hiking and backpacking.
